Barbecued Face
A 13 year old boy is brought to the emergency department 30 minutes after sustaining facial injuries when putting petrol on a barbecue to light it. He complains of severe face and throat pain.

Use diesel or kerosene to start a fire, never gasoline. I've got a large barrel-type smoker. I fill the firebox with briquettes, douse liberally with diesel fuel. Then I use a propane torch like that below to get everything burning well (meaning: it's not giving off plumes of white smoke, but a thinner black smoke with visible orange flames.) Let it burn for 30-minutes, add your damp smoking wood blocks and you're ready to smoke meat while you chill in your lawn chair and drink beer, all in the name of BBQ. |
