A thirty-year-old patient who had complete transmetacarpal amputation of all digits (nature of injury not given). Preoperative photograph:

That is really nothing less than amazing. I know that recovery is slow after this kind of operation, but I wonder how much use of the digits the poor soul was able to regain. Great Post.

Yes, they replanted the fingers
Amazing. I've never seen the x-rays of a replanted hand. It's incredible. I have seen a replanted hand though.
