Fibrinous Pericarditis
This has often been called a "bread and butter" pericarditis' Fibrinous pericarditis in which the visceral and parietal surfaces of the pericardium resemble those of two pieces of buttered bread that have been pressed together and then pulled apart, when they are separated at surgery or necropsy.  · |

That's super disgusting. Most pericarditis cases are infectious, with "vegetative" growths on the inside. I really hate analogies to food, don't you? It's extra revolting. Another excellent specimen.
