Re: Feather Found in Baby's Neck

If that was my baby, I'd want to know how that feather got there!

I certainly wouldn't have waited for several weeks to get her checked!

If she had swallowed it, which sounds feasible, she could have choked to death!

It is freaky! So is drawing that stupid blue line around it! Stupid parents!

The blue line around it is to mark the infection so as to truly know if its spreading. Doctors did this too a workmate of mine last week when he had a nasty bite on his foot that got infected, he was told if the redness passes outside of the lines to come back to the hospital immeditily

Re: Feather Found in Baby's Neck

Thank you for the explanation, thorny! I can see the redness around the site. I had only seen that done in body surgeries.

I just thought the parents did it thinking no one could see it. It looks like the dad has a yellow feather on his shirt.

Re: Feather Found in Baby's Neck

This also reminds me of an article I read once of a man who went into a coughing/sneezing fit and sneezed out a BULLET. This happened in the late 90's, the guy had been shot during World War II!

I see that sometimes on those medical shows.

I guess in battle they used to leave the bullets in if it wasn't interfering with any organs working properly.

I hope my body forces a foreign object quickly, unless it's attached to a man with my permission!
