Battling My Acne Part 3
Have been putting this horrible Retin-A on my face for over two months and it was helping quite a lot with most spots drying out quickly, until I ran out of the expensive and hard to find cleanser I use and my face decided to punish me. Consequently I now have a face full of spots and am having to spend almost 2 hours putting on full makeup before I even answer the door. Should be getting more cleanser next week but until then I'm piling the concealer on with a trowel. My own stupid fault for not remembering to buy cleanser and I'm pizza-faced all over again. The only up-side is that I'm actually getting quite good at covering up with makeup and practice makes perfect, right? ***The red around my hair line is from having my hair colour redone yesterday, not some terrible disease of the scalp, though if I had one I'd post pics of it on here.*** |

You look a lot older with make up. If i were you i wouldn't even bother putting on that much make up, people don't even give a shit, its all in your head.

You look ok. It's not as bad as it may seem to you. Most people are too busy thinking about themselves to pay much attention to you. So, that takes a lot of the pressure off. This too shall pass. |

You look great all natural! But I am totally not judging, when my face breaks out I spackle on 10 layers of concealer too. My Dr. gave me an antibiotic cream that works most of the time. Hope you find something that does the trick

Re: Battling My Acne Part 3
Really, the acne isn't half as bad as some I've seen. You know what, though? I think you could go just a hair darker with foundation, or if the next darker color is too dark, you may want to use bronzer or something--I think the foundation is a little too light and that's why the person above thinks it looks "older".

Re: Battling My Acne Part 3
I've seen worse. you should also find a brand of acne-fighting makeup. I recommend powder. I have this salicylic acid powder that does a good job covering redness and making the pimple dry and shrink. try to avoid liquid and soft makeups when you have acne problems. |

Re: Battling My Acne Part 3
Sorry to read you're battling with acne but honestly, I see many people with it every time I go out. Really attractive people too and it doesn't detract from them at all. We're all know it's that old pain in the arse acne and nothing taboo. I mean, no-one is going to think "urgh she's got acne". You're nowhere near as in need of so much make-up as you think! First thing I saw in your top picture was your really pretty eyes!! Make them pop, bit of lip gloss, put concealer over your worst affected areas and you're good to go |
