Supposedly, the Soviets were working on a way to weaponize Ebola by making it an airborne pathogen. Something like a chimera ebola-smallpox.

If you haven't already, check out a film called Outbreak starring Dustin Hoffman, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacey and Cuba Gooding Jr. This film freaked the shit out of me when I first saw it in '95. It's about Ebola.

Anyone read The Hot Zone?

this might sound bad but when I first saw pictures of ebola victims, I was underwhelmed. The way the book described it, it sounded like a gore fest.

Still, I can't even imagine the suffering these poor people went through.
One of my favorite books!
