Re: Dying a Slow Death
My Grandfather was given a blood transfusion at Stanford Medical Center in 1978 and contacted HIV, of course, the doctor's had no idea what AIDS or HIV was at point in time. I took care of him for 8 horrible, pain more year and he finally died in 1986. In 1988, the Stanford Medical Center sent us a letter tell us that they were sorry that they had infected grandfather with AIDS! My poor Granny did not even understand, hell, My grandparents friend, President Reagan only said AIDS one time ever at that point in time. Watching a person dying from AIDS is the the most difficult and helpless things a person can go through. I have given my time and financial blessings to many AIDS cause and individual victims over the last 30 year. I urge everyone to join in and help those people who are suffering the most! |

Re: Dying a Slow Death
A lot of these pictures are not aids related... Some could be, like the herpes sores on abdomen.. But that first pic was either a bed sore or necrotising fasciitis.. Guy with eyes blacked out - Steven Johnson's syndrome. I know a lot of the post in written context was true, but some of the pictures don't hold up. Molluscum contagiosum (pox virus) is the common skin lesion associated with aids as well as skin cancer, namely Kaposi’s sarcoma. |

Re: Dying a Slow Death
Being a Gen-X kid, by the time I was old enough to start fucking, AIDS-awareness campaigns had scared the shit out of me enough to always use condoms right up until I was married. Now I'm trying to inspire the same spirit of caution in my kids as they mature.

LGBT's can't die fast enough, I just hope the AIDS, HIV and other STD carriers consider our entertainment their first priority and upload videos and pics before their agonizing departure. |

Re: Dying a Slow Death
While the pictures are very interesting and may have come from someone who is HIV+, some are of conditions seen in many other types of disease. The top photos are of large decubiti, or simply put, bedsores. This was a bed bound patient who was not turned enough and/or was not kept clean and given good skin care, and got bedsores. Farther down you see a curved stripe of red blister rash down the patient's side to the umbilicus--all that is is shingles. You don't have to be HIV+ to get that, either.
