It's amazing what a little basic first aid training will do to save a life. Usually these people are picking their friends up by the arm and draging them around after they just suffered a C spine injury.

Everyone should learn CPR at some point in their life. You never know when you might need it.
Agreed... just don't be shocked when your hands and biceps hurt the next day. It's a lot more strenuous than it looks.

It is! When I took my CPR course a few years ago, each of us had to practice on Annie for two minutes straight. Folks were more or less sweaty at the end of the class Our trainer, a very experienced paramedic, told us the longest time he had performed CPR on someone was 56 minutes straight.
