Re: Dog With Severe Periodontal Disease
cats get it too. i do animal rescue and have 3 dogs and 12 cats at present. three of my adult rescue cats came to me with gingivitis and advanced periodontal disease. the odor is awful, it's very close to the smell of an abscess, and the whole mouth is slimy. costs a fortune to treat, too. $75 for teeth cleaning for a small cat; tooth extraction is more and the antibiotic ain't cheap. but i do it b/c they are my responsibility...i'm not like the asswipes who abused and neglected them.
