Re: Dilatation & Curettage Abortion
I had an abortion once, not like that tho! I swallowed a pill and everything came out by it self, like a miscarriage. I was depressed along time after it, and i felt like a murderer:( But i couldnt keep the child, i didn't have a job or any money and neither did my boyfriend, And if i bring a child into this world i want to give it everything i can. Im still sad about the abortion and i still regret everything and i never want to do it again. I love kids and i would love to have one in the future. I understand why some people are against it and i respect their opinion. |

Re: Dilatation & Curettage Abortion
You have a right to feel how you feel, but don't beat yourself up so much. If you knew then that you couldn't give a child a future then you made a reasonable decision. When people have children they can't support financially or emotionally, they're not doing the kid any favors by bringing it into the world. I'm not presuming to know your specific situation but you had your reasons for having an abortion. People who think that it's a choice made flippantly have no idea what they are talking about. |

Re: Dilatation & Curettage Abortion
I have had a D&C before, so these photos are very interesting as I've always wanted to know what they actually did to me since I was put to sleep at the time (thank god, judging by these photos!). Mine was done to abort a pregnancy that wasn't actually a fetus but a molar pregnancy As for abortion...I think if you are at risk of getting pregnant, use protection and avoid this happening! :( |

Re: Dilatation & Curettage Abortion
This is why the Pro-Life/Pro-Choice debate is so hard. My mother underwent an abortion following an endotopic pregnancy (which would have died naturally, but was causing her severe pain and threatening her life.)

Re: Dilatation & Curettage Abortion
D&C (Dilation and curettage) is a gynecological procedure, and it is rarely used as an abortion method. It's more likely the patient in these pictures suffered a miscarriage, and the D&C was done to remove the uterine contents. So labeling these photos as an "abortion" is dishonest and misleading.
