Didn't Walk This One Off. . .

So, on May 31, 2020, my 55-year-old, 230-pound dumb ass jumped over a 6-foot fence. On the way down, my right foot landed badly. I hyperextended the entire foot and fractured the heel and other foot bones in 4 places. The internal bleeding was so bad that the skin was blistering as you can see. Had to sit at my desk with my foot up for weeks. It was at the height of the "pandemic" and I didn't go to the hospital. Dope, alcohol, and weed helped with the pain. Couldn't put weight on it for over a month. Almost a year-and-a-half later and it's still painful and now it doesn't fit into tight shoes because of the callus (overgrowth) of the bone. Lesson learned. You can't do things you did 30 years ago. . .

Re: Didn't Walk This One Off. . .

The pain was unbelievable and unrelenting. Putting that foot down was sheer agony. Better now but still residual pain and stiffness. Will it ever be 100%? Doubt it. Getting too old for this crap...

Dope, alcohol, and weed

I'm sorry to hear it still hurts, though. That sucks.

You can get the other one looking the same if you become diabetic with COPD, although I wouldn't recommend it.

Re: Didn't Walk This One Off. . .

I have seen people with peripheral neuopathy and circulation problems in their lower extremities due to diabetes. My brother is one of them. I agree. . . and it's not good.

If you don't have one already you need an immobilizing boot, my dude, because that will take care of a lot of that bloating, and also take some of the weight off the heel and various other components you fucked up. And I had a tib-fib 12 years ago so I happen to know something about traumatic lower leg injuries and the boot is a miracle tool for this type of injury.
