I have this same thing. I has surgery done in 2000, however found out need a second to re-stabilize the rods/screws and because of which I'm losing feeling throughout my body. Only prob is that there is only 3 doctors in Canada able to do the second surgery, so just a waiting game now.

You guys who have this are strong-ass people. I hope all of you get the best care that's available. bernard, I'm so sorry. Friend of mine had several surgeries from childhood on, then a major one when she was 35-ish which put her in a body cast for two months - maybe more. Yeah, the whole plates, screws, etc. And the state denied her disability claim! I was dumbfound; blurted out "whatta they want you to do? Be a human surfboard?" Thank god she laughed. WTF! |
