Re: Death of a Child Born with a Rare Birth Defect

My oldest was diagnosed as being an anecephlic baby while still in the womb. I told the doctor he was crazy because I knew he would be fine; I felt movements, etc. After he told me to abort, I went to a high risk doctor and continued my pregnancy. And I am grateful, because he is 15 now, and A/B honor student, and the light of my life. If I had aborted him, I would have aborted a perfectly fine child.

Re: Death of a Child Born with a Rare Birth Defect

I have a 2 year old boy.....i am thankful everyday of my life he was born healthy and ive had the opportunity to watch him grow everyday. This little boy Im at least glad he had loving parents and family. Terrible, terrible tragedy. Horrible thought saying hello and goodbye to your child on the same day. My thoughts and heart go out to them. Glad they had a little time with him. RIP sweet baby

So the first Doctor was incompetent then?.

Re: Death of a Child Born with a Rare Birth Defect

This broke my heart. The strength of this family amazes me. I don't think I would have been able to deal with that, or even be in the frame of mind to enjoy the little time I had with my child. I pray this never happens to me and my thoughts are with every family who has been affected by this.

What a sweet little bean! What an amazing family, too. I'm happy they decided not to terminate. I know I could never do it.

Just those few moments are so special...

I think I lost some brain cells reading that article. Of course, God knows exactly what he is doing by having brainless babies being born into religious families. They will fit right in.

Re: Death of a Child Born with a Rare Birth Defect

Rest in peace Grayson and to Zuckerberg and Facebook....you guys suck for not putting the pictures up. It is a medical condition and probably most of us had never heard of it. How is awareness and a tribute, somehow offensive?
This family is an inspiration
