You are incorrect. 1/3 of males in the world are circumcised. With a total world population of 7.1 billion and the population of the USA at 313 million.

Assuming 50% of the population is male,
There are 3.55 billion males on the planet, so
1/3 circumcised is 1.18 billion

In the USA 156 million males, 52 million circumcised

So, 1128000000 circumcised outside of the USA
52000000 circumcised in the USA

It is most prevalent in the Muslim world and Israel where it is almost universal, the United States and SE Asia. It is a major tenant of the abrahamic religions (Jewish, Christian, Islam)

It is regularly practiced in many areas for many reasons, religious, social, medical etc.

So, as we can all see, the USA is not the great producer of the worlds circumcised men, our total population is just a drop in the bucket compared to the rest of the world.

I was circumcised at birth, I personally feel that was a decision I should have made once I had reached adulthood, not had it performed due to cultural or I my case religious reasons.

Personally, I appreciate FG52's stance. She's a fan of the cock for all the right reasons. Were I to have a son, I wouldn't have him circumcised. Even when done right, it's a procedure that involves the incisive removal of a part of a person's body. It's mutilation, plain and simple; and what's worse is that it's done for religious reasons. I think it's fairly obvious that nothing good ever comes of anything that involves both religion and blood.

I'm circumcised and honestly wonder what it would be like if I weren't. Even someone who doesn't know what they're missing can easily imagine that they're nevertheless missing something. And the pictures on the link provided in the original post make me feel doubly fortunate to have a cock that I'm quite happy with, given everything that could have gone wrong. Hell, I wish that I could get off easier; and being circumcised probably has something to do with the fact that even when I do, it takes for-fucking-ever.

I also don't understand why this is such a polarizing issue. Aesthetics (which are socially-influenced non-absolutes) aside, it's always a safe choice to not slice and dice unless absolutely medically necessary. That much is obvious, at least to me.

I also recall reading about a guy who's dick was destroyed during a cauterization circumcision procedure. After a failed attempt to raise him as a female and years of therapy from a psychiatrist of dubious ethical constitution, the guy wound up committing suicide in a parking lot following a divorce and years of relationship and intimacy difficulties. It's a shame I can't remember his name right now; but that case alone is enough of an argument against circumcision as far as I'm concerned.

I think it should be illegal to have unnecessary surgery performed on your child, no matter what the country.
