Re: ~Craniotomy~ 12 Year Old Boy
I am so sorry about your loss, I couldn't imagine what you must be going through... Although some people think I shouldn't have posted what happened, I feel differently. Had I read or seen something like this and then it happened, or happened to someone else, then I would be sharing the stories and to get him to the hospital right away! He is an intelligent boy, smart (sometimes a smartass) but he definately bounced back and is doing well.... I can understand why some people think I'm nuts to post this, but information is valid, and important.... If someone were to read this and then something similar occured and was able to prevent the weeks in peds ICU or PICC lines or MRSA or all the other things he went through then I am happy to share what knowledge I can. Thanks to all, whether you think I am nuts to put his ordeal up on the medical section and to those that know I am only partly nutty!

Deadcat i give you a big thumbs up for posting your story and pictures. it takes bravery and confidence to not only go through a situation like you did with your little guy but to also share it with others. people getting all touchy about it must live under a rock because i have seen parents do much worse. you're a beautiful woman and strong mother |

Re: ~Craniotomy~ 12 Year Old Boy
Thank you and no you are not nuts for sharing your experience!I appreciate it, I have A beautiful 17 y.o girl whom I drive crazy trying too protect, but thing is I realize I can't stop LIFE from happening, unfortunately I lost my first child in 89 then T.J. in 99 so my world does'nt consist of really understanding her illnesses. It's either all or nothing. My guage as a parent is all thrown off cause simple things just don't seem simple anymore!I freak about all illnesses, which in turn drive's babygirl crazy so maybe your story will do just what you want it too, prevent someone from having too go through what we have both endured!peace and love dawn

Re: ~Craniotomy~ 12 Year Old Boy
Oh man... it seems like they can be so careless sometimes.. but again, looking at the care they do give... it's almost miraculous that most of the hurts fade. Reminds me when they pulled the drainage tubes out of the incision for my knee transplant, they still had the medical tape on it.. pulled it out along with a good chunk of skin... yipe. |

Re: ~Craniotomy~ 12 Year Old Boy
Wow! - ... and I cried when I took my 7yr old daughter in for a planned tonsilectomy. He is so lucky - to have survived - to be smiling at the and to have such strong parents gunning for him. Made my day brighter reading. Thanks
