Re: Construction Worker Fall Results In Impalement
An few inches one way or another, and he'd have bled out from a trauma-induced splenic rupture. While he's on the gurney, his abdomen doesn't look distended nor otherwise abnormal enough for that. My BIL was a crane operator in a steel mill and watched as a coworker's head was lopped off by a falling steel door. FUCK! I always think about what this kind of sight does to coworkers/friends of the victim, since he missed two days work over it. Believe me, a blue-collar guy's missing work is a fucking big deal. He broke his arm during one Superbowl by punching a wall over a fumble. When I asked if he wanted me to drive him to the E.R., he said, "Are you kidding me? It's the Superbowl!" So I got him some whiskey, a towel, and a bucket of ice. At the end, his team won, so he was happy as a clam, and good to go for work the next morning. No, you sick bastards - I don't have video. If I did, I'd have uploaded it already. |
