Re: Child Tortured By Mother
did you read d23623d's posts? his/her location is the usa. child abuse is probably every where and in todays society with the american kids growing up spoiled, getting everything THEY want, being the center of attention and also playing video games aimed in points for death and destruction, i would imagine that child abuse is more common in the usa than in the countries you mentioned. after all, most american kids these days think the world revolves around them and what they want. how are they suppose to be expected to buy formula for a baby when they want to spend that money on themselves and what else are they expected to do to shut up a crying baby when it is interfering with their game... try to feed it or change its diaper? do you know how much time that would take away from the parents lives? of course they could give the baby/child up for adoption but that would mean they wouldn't get any welfare money. such a dilemma that these teens are faced with... do they want to keep the welfare money rolling in enough to put up with a screamiing entity in their home distracting their game and ruining their lives? decisions decisions. i am not saying that all american teens are like this nor that child abuse is limited to just young mothers or young couples. child abuse happens with all ages of parents and children and can be anything from mental abuse to that which is physical and causes death. it happens in wealthy homes and in poor homes and it happens all over the world.the only thing as bad as child abuse is when the authorities tend to shrug it off when the signs of child abuse are there. i find that just as disturbing as the abuse itself and even less comprehendable. i would imagine that your country - canada has its fair share of child abuse also. it is not something that we can just point the finger at other countries which may be backwards and living in a past time era. we save that pointing for things like their choices of executing criminals... as in stoning them or executing them in any matter but in public to serve as an example. |
