It looks almost like the egg did not split all the way, so she wound up with two skulls fused as one.

Agreed, it definitely looks like two skulls fused together in the middle. Poor thing, I wonder what they can do for it? (Besides put it out of its misery, that is.) |

In a way I agree, it's obvious her parents care for her, and since we're not there, none of us can really give a truly objective opinion about what quality of life she has. Since we don't know what her actual disorder (or disorders) is, we don't know about brain activity, intelligence, whether or not she can walk, feed herself, communicate in any way....having said that, just looking at the pictures is enough to make one wonder how in the world this poor girl, if she survives to adulthood, could possibly make it without ridiculously extensive facial reconstruction, and depending on whatever internal conditions she might have, surgeries to correct internal defects that might otherwise impair her ability to lead as normal a life as possible. |
