Cheek Defect Due To Cancer Reconstructed
A 60-year-old man sustained right buccal cancer, well-differentiated squamous-cell carcinoma, with cheek skin involvement. Wide resection of tumor with right side modified radical type II neck dissection was carried out and a 10×10cm defect was left Cheek defect on the right side along with modified radical type II neck dissection The defect was reconstructed with ipsilateral side anterolateral thigh flap including two musculocutaneous perforators Immediate follow-up revealed good vascularity and viability of the flap Follow-up after 1 year shows excellent functionality of the flap |
