Re: Castration Procedure (Many Pics)
This (removing the balls directly from the scrotum) is how cats and sometimes very small puppies are neutered. Most adult dogs are neutered via an incision made halfway between the bottom of their penis and their scrotum. Cat neuters often take about 1-2 minutes per testicle. It literally takes longer to prep the patient than it does to perform the procedure. I've personally observed dozens of dog and cat neuters and spays, and have never seen one even remotely as bloody as this. |

Re: Castration Procedure (Many Pics)
It would seem that whoever is performing the operation knows what he's doing but this is very clearly not being done in a hospital or even a clinic. The operator knows how to wield a needle, a scalpel, knows what to cut, and knows how to suture, but no surgeon wears a yellow isolation gown during surgery, no surgeon would wear non-surgical gloves in a non-sterile fashion, and most surgeons would take advantage of a plentiful supply of gauze.
