Re: Cancer of the Vulva
This is still such a rare cancer, even if you go to the Dr. over and over, it can still take years to be diagnosed. It's no laughing matter and no fun. Imagine having a sex change change that you don't want and that is never fully completed. You can still have a healthy sex life after surgery although discovering pleasurable sensations may take a little more effort, if you will. To the ladies out there, this is very real and could happen to you, we are taught how to perform a self breast exam, but not a vulval one. It's not that hard, grab a mirror, use a good light source and get to know your body. To the guys, I pray this never happens to a wife or female relative, because if it does they are going to need all the support you can give them. How do I know all this? I'm a survivor |
