Due to the blast and subsequent fire, he sustained severe injuries to both of his hands and his private parts.

He later stated that he bought the expensive smartphone from the electronics retailer Digital Lifestyle, located inside the Grand Venice Mall. This is a very well-known and legitimate shopping center in the Delhi region.

The Digital Lifestyle chain (operating via the website DG.com) is generally known in India as a bona fide and authorized retailer of consumer electronics.

The risk of buying a counterfeit or illegal device here is minimal, as they work directly with major brands such as Samsung.

A formal complaint has been lodged directly with the manufacturer via their official channel, SamsungMobile. The exact technical cause of the battery explosion is currently under investigation.
