Re: Black Man Has Rare Form of Cancer

yes, it was nice to see that. however, more donations can mean he can stay longer and perhaps heal quicker? i don't know. but i do know that there is more costs involved than just treatment. for one, there is airfare. or gasoline if they drive. plus whether or not he lives, the family will be forever hassled about unpaid hospital and doctors bills here. if he does live, i doubt that the time he's been in the hospital and in mexico getting hollistic treatment is going to be cost free for his wife and kids. they need to survive also.

plus continuing any medications may prove to be a problem. the u.s. seems to tries to ban the sale of most any thing that might help a cancer patient if it is not something that is usa fda approved. in other words if big pharm isn't making money off of it, forget it. he may not be able to take back or buy any meds he may need meaning he will have to remain there longer or else make return trips if it is something that can be taken just once a week or month.

so reaching their goal is great but the excess will probably be of just as much help as the original amount. i wish the best for him but find it hard to believe that he is going to be cured in mexico. but stranger things have happened and just knowing that people do care and having hope of being cured greatly increase his chances for survival, however small they may be.
I agree with you, I wish him the best regardless.

Re: Black Man Has Rare Form of Cancer

Damn why can't the doc's just cut his lower half off?
Seems logical, but his body would go into shock.

Re: Black Man Has Rare Form of Cancer

It definitely goes up past his leg into his lower abdomen at least. I like the suggestion of cutting him right in half but I expect it's not really very easy to do that at the best of times. I think the person I saw like that was born with a congenital condition where they amputated stumps of some kind but never had been fully formed. The cancer might also be inside of him as well, where we can't see it.
