Yeah, and there's no (artificial) airway, which I'm pretty sure he'd have if he was alive. I suspect these are morgue pictures.

Yeah..maybe these are the pics trying to maybe make him presentable for a possible open casket funeral. No way is he still alive...his clothes are still on..so no central line is set and he has no tube to protect airway as was said before. And it appears he has that 1000yd stare that only a dead guy could have.

Well... mostly... that last pic makes it look not so bad (although still horrifying).
Of course it doesn't look so bad having seen the previous 4 pics with only 1/4 of his head standing on his neck
