Re: Battling My Acne
I wouldn't commit to being on camera being filmed, could do it through photos as a slide show I guess. Its really just foundation and concealer with one of those green coloured sticks that neutralise redness. And having gone to GP on Wednesday he's prescribed Retin-A which is a bit harsh on the skin at first but is supposed to be excellent in long run and as a bonus is actually used as an anti-ageing cream too. Will let you know how I get on. And once again, for those who called me pretty since I last posted, thank you!

Re: Battling My Acne
Vegetable juice, like tomato, has a high acid content. Pasta sauce and pizza sauce are not good. I have acid reflux. Nexium works pretty well. I never had acne, but, I know a green concealer under your regular foundation covers the red spots. I do get Raggedy Ann cheeks sometimes from meds I guess. I rarely wear makeup in the hot weather. If people don't like it, they don't have to look. |

Re: Battling My Acne
OP, I work in the adult industry and I can tell you that you don't have any reason to worry about your acne. In my business, it's all about looks but I'm an overweight, acne-covered mess myself and it has very rarely affected my work. I suffer from easily bruised skin and I have a raging skin infection under one of my breasts because of how large they are. My point is, 99.9% of the time, I don't have to worry about my appearance. I've got hair growing in weird places, I'm covered in stretch marks, and I should start shaving my chin because of the hair that grows there. In general, most people can look past "imperfections" such as acne. Those who can't don't deserve your attention. Trust me. You will meet a few jerks out there who make fun of you because they can't seem to get past the high school mentality. Just give them the bird and walk away. You shouldn't have to wear layers of makeup to feel normal. What is normal anyway? Go ahead and walk around without makeup. As Diamond said, if people don't like it they don't have to look. You work on your self-esteem and the acne won't be as important. I promise that those who deserve knowing you won't care if your head is just one big pimple or if you have the skin of an angel. I know it can be embarrassing at first but if you can be okay with it, then you will see most every else is too. You should be self-confidant because you are a great person. Your posts in this thread alone says so. Remember that it doesn't matter what every things if you can be okay with yourself. It took me a long time to realize that myself. You're not alone in your skin problems and they aren't a big deal. I've had acne since the first grade at least, so I know how it can be. I'll let you in on something that I've never told anyone. Everyone else will know too but that's okay. I suffer from having a very hairy body. My butt is hairy like a guy's (only lighter golden hair instead of black). I've always hated it because I'm a girl and shouldn't have a hairy butt. So, when I was in middle school, I started shaving it. Now I work in the adult industry but I basically say "fuck it. If anyone has a problem with it, they don't have to look at my ass." After searching online, I've found that a large number of women have the same problem. It's normal. All I can say is just go one day at a time and remember to say "fuck it, I'm normal and I'm hot". You won't be lying either. |

Re: Battling My Acne
I used Acutane about 6 years ago and although it came with risks and side affects I'm glad I chose to try it. Nothing else worked. I wish you all the best and keep us informed. The other posters are correct btw, you're very pretty. I do understand the need for a clear complexion and the impact unclear skin can have on your self esteem. Best wishes and hugs |

Re: Battling My Acne
I am another huge proponent for Accutane. I had cystic acne that was MUCH worse than this. I tried everything and nothing worked. Finally I got the prescription for Accutane and it worked wonders. There is nothing else like it.

Re: Battling My Acne
I know a great cure for acne which is all the rage in the Muslim world and has a 100% success rate, it is called a 'burka'. It also cures ugly, but doesn't cure fat. Good luck with whatever you decide.
