Re: The Baby Who Catches Himself On Fire

I have never heard of one - genuine - case of 'spontaneous combustion' or 'self combustion'.

That's because it has never happened.
That doesn't mean there couldn't be other causes, though. Probablistically, it's MBP, but it's possible it could be environment. Like someone above posted, there was high level of phosphorus in the cow dung in their place. When I lived in China, my American appliances kept shorting out with the Chinese electricity and it caused several fires. But yeah, MBP is the most likely candidate. The thing most practitioners don't get, though, is that it is a diagnosis of exclusion. There are children with different kinds of diseases (not "spontaneous combustion"), who are thought to be victims, but are not.

Well, Elvis 'could' be alive and happily delivering pizzas in Mumbai, but...you know...

You got to consider the source of the people who are giving you the information here. It's 3rd world stuff. The people live in a world where everyone is telling lies to each other.

Re: The Baby Who Catches Himself On Fire

Surely one of the parents was responsible. Take the child away and I bet it doesn't happen again.

Re: The Baby Who Catches Himself On Fire

Obviously someone is repeatedly setting this kid on fire and the "doctors" are too superstitious to dump to such a conclusion.

Re: The Baby Who Catches Himself On Fire

Maybe they are lying. And the mom set him on fire. She could have Munchhausen syndrome. Idk tho. I could be wrong...
