Not enough blunt trauma for a garbage disposal in the sink, most blades I know aren't sharp they pulverise. But the wound is consistent with a rotating blade and being drawn down into it.

People who put their fingers in paper shredders really have earned what's coming to them. Not to mention, I've never seen any recent paper shredder that has a large enough paper slot to fit fingers at all.. But I guess she did it some how.

:Update: Apparently she was freeing the machine up through a side panel and not via the top slot. I inquired to the friend that posted the image to me, he told me that it jammed and she tried to free it up by opening the side panel door. Wonder if she has a right to sue as one would think the machines would have a trip switch to shut it down if the door was opened. Anymore info comes forward I will post it.
