...mostly by making it inhalable. When it gets into your lungs, it is very lethal -- that's why the post-9/11 anthrax attacks were such a big deal.

yeh..the cutaneous (skin) verision isn't so bad..but the inhalation version on the other hand..is almost guaranteed to kill..
(weaponized version is aerosol/powdered and intended to be inhaled..)

I think one of the chief aims of weaponizing Anthrax is to keep the bacteria cells from forming large clumps so that they stay suspended in air much longer and are easily inhaled.

Working with animal hides or anything else, people should wear gloves, although I've seen things on, "Dirty Jobs", that make me cringe. People also need to wash their hands, especially before touching their faces!
