maggots are larva from fly speicies....flys are attracted to dead tissue and lay their eggs. maggots are born and feast on the dead flesh till they pupa then become flies.

Man, those maggot videos and pictures are the only thing that makes the skin on my head crawl. I can handle everything but maggot stuff. I can't seem to get over it either. I try to watch that stuff thinking it will eventually stop bothering me but it just doesn't. I get the same effect each time....my scalp itches and it feels like my hair is standing on end. GROSS!!!! |

Almost true, however flies will lay eggs in open wounds of living hosts as well, also look up tha botfly. Nice lil bugger that one |
