Re: Anorexic (borderline) Pregnant - Stages
Don't get how you can be overweight and anorexic at the same time. If you're overweight you must be taking in more than enough calories for you body.

Re: Anorexic (borderline) Pregnant - Stages
I was anorexic. I didn't look like "the poster child of anorexia". I was dieting after having a child. I took in only 500 calories a day. I am 5'5" and at the end weighed 95 lbs. What made me have the diagnosis of anorexia was not my weight. It was the fact that my body could no longer tolerate any food. If I tried to eat, I would vomit. I didn't realize how big of a problem it was until I saw myself on television. I told my husband I looked horrible. He had been telling me I was too thin. When I looked in the mirror I saw fat. I was a size 0. What I saw was just skin that had not been toned. I started drinking milkshakes and working out at a gym and was able to start eating like a normal person again. So it is not your actual weight, but the fact that there is an eating disorder present (not being able to intake food).

I don't think anorexics can get pregnant because their menstrual cycle stops. Nature's way.

Also if she were that malnourished she wouldn't be able to her pregnant I would think, as she would stop having her period and ovulation right? Either way it was actually beautiful to see the weight gain. I think she looked stunning in that last picture :) |
