Been quit nearly 7 years

apparently thats how long (7yrs) it takes for your lungs to get back to normal, some how over that time you cough up all the tar you collected whilst smoking, if youve got emphysema your screwed cos thats the start of lung cancer and you will die...

Something similar happened to me once where this fat slob said something similar to me. I was prepared to go on a frontal assault with words but then said "Fine would you prefer this? And lifted my leg and let out a fart that vibrated the manhole covers". He said you are disgusting and I said and you are fat and left.

quit for 4 months..it caught up on me again like 2-3 weeks ago..odd this topic showed up..I just got a box of nicotine lozenges today..and am goin to use em tomorrow.

As a RN on a oncology floor, I've seen many pt's die from lung cancer. What a horrible way to go. Just the panic on their faces when they can't get a breath is enough to make you not want to smoke. And yet there are several nurses that I work with that smoke. Go fig....
