A 19-year-old boy from Kosovo was working on a farm when an agricultural vehicle ran over his leg, causing serious injuries. The patient underwent a complex operation consisting of debridement of dead tissue, soft tissue reconstruction and external fixation of broken bone segments. A few months later he began to walk.

How awesome they were able to save his leg. The first photo made me think amputation. Glad to be living in an age where modern medicine can fix and repair severe injuries.
