I’m a recovering heroin addict and I have been clean for nine years. I had always heard people say that we can actually be addicted to the blood being drawn back in the syringe. I know that to be true. It isn’t a myth. I had a brief relapse before I quit for good and this particular spot bled like crazy for a while. I was really high and started doodling in the blood until I attempted to draw a Danzig skull. Or some may call it Baphomet. IDK. Anyway my point is that injecting drugs with a freaking demon for REAL. You do things you thought you would never ever do in a million years. Because drugs caused so much damage to your brain, those behaviors will never leave you. They may actually get worse. I just beg you... if you are young, like in your teens or 20s, WALK AWAY FROM DOPE while you still can!!!The younger you are the easier it is for you to stop. You may have to get some medication assisted treatment but please do it and do it now! Don’t end up like me with a bunch of scars all over you because you shot up some bad dope and burned your Skin from the inside. Don’t end up being homeless when your damn near 50 years old. Don’t end up losing all your teeth and getting a full set of dentures at age 35. Don’t end up alone and lonely with nobody to share your life with except your pets because you can’t have a real relationship because your ex-husband cheated on you with some skanky dope whore and gave you HPV. Don’t end up with Felonise. Don’t end up with extreme depression, anxiety and PTSD from abusive relationships. This way would never end if I kept doing. I love you guys and I want you to know that I’m here for you if you need to talk or if you’re an addict. Recovery is TOUGH. Butl I know for sure that recovery is REAL AND BEAUTIFUL!!

Thank you. My son was also a heroin addict but did fight it successfully and dedicated his soul/life to Jesus. Yes, it does work! Yes, it gave him the strength to fight! Yes, you also can do this! He had to go through 7 years in prison to get to that point, but he NEVER gave up! Reach out if you have to cuz there are people out there that can help you!! I'm 35 have been an opiate addict for 16 years. The only thing that's helped me stay functional and out of the streets is buprenorphine. Some people shit on it and say that I'm trading one addiction for another but it is what it is.

I grew up with an entire family of abusive addicts. Drug dealers and junkies should be culled. They're no longer people in my eyes.

Such sad irony.
Your lack of empathy (probably because you suffered a lot yourself) is worse and more damaging than people who struggle with addiction.
