Traumatic amputation of the arm. Industrial accident.

Homicide.
Multiple large caliber gunshot wounds to the head.

Falling apart.
Very advanced decomposition can be recognized here by the separation of the lumbar vertebrae and the pelvic ring.

Twisted steel
Patient had a prior femoral and tibial rodding secondary to a motorcycle crash. Patient presents here in another motorcycle crash that rips the femoral rodding completely out of the femur.

Foot.
Extensive forefoot fractures secondary to motorcycle crash.

Comparative.
Shotgun wound.

Airbag.
Patient was a front seat passenger in a car and had right foot on the portion of the dash where the airbag deploys. The car was involved in a low speed (25mph) crash. The passenger airbag deployed, tearing the foot from the tibia and grossly dislocating the talus. Driver was uninjured.

Homicide.
Multiple gunshot wounds to the head. The linear density traversing the skull is a portion of the eyeglasses that the deceased wore. One of the bullets piercing the skull pulled the left temple portion of the eyeglasses through the brain.

Dildo.
A quite large dildo that is beyond the point of self-retrieval, in the rectum and sigmoid of a patient.

Hand trauma.
Young male was holding a homemade explosive device. The fuse of the device was lit, and the patient was unable to throw it away before it detonated.

Bottoms Up.
Shot glass in the rectum.

Unconventional Laboratory Technique.
AP and lateral radiographs of a patient with a large glass graduated cylinder inserted into the rectum and sigmoid colon.

Excellent images,man you can always tell shotgun pellets on a radiograph .
Some of those fractures looked painful .
The Dildo is a classic .
We had two men come into ER one night when I was working in x-ray with a simular problem. Shot an x-ray and sure as hell the boys had lost their toy up one of their backsides.
The x-ray was perfect in image quality except there was motion blur in the image because the dildo was still turned on LOL.
Everyone in the department got quite a laugh out of that.
