This 20 year old woman was having trouble with her boyfriend. She suspected he was playing around and they were having frequent arguments about it, the last of which occurred yesterday evening.

According to him, midway through the argument she excused herself to the bathroom. He turned on the tv and waited for her to return. When he felt too much time had passed, he went to investigate and found her hanging in the garage. He called the authorities for help, but she was already dead when they cut her down.

Yeah, it can go both ways. Usually, however, the cops in Mexico mention to the newspapers if they're investigating it as a suicide or foul play. In this case, they specifically mentioned it as a suicide, so that's likely how the cops are leaning. She was still hanging when they got there and her body exhibited the signs of a death by hanging.

Could still be murder, sure. But suicide looks more probable based on the reports. I'll update if they determine otherwise, though.

As always, I strongly suspect that the problems lay far deeper. Relationship troubles likely look all the more bleak when you're so sunk in depression or afflicted by other mental trauma that everything is amplified.

Interesting that 90% of the Latin American female suicides I find (and for everyone one I post here, I find ten more with no photos) cite relationship/love trouble as a significant factor, though. Guess the blood burns extra hot down there.

I don't think women in Latin America receive that much respect, that's probably a contributing factor. Life has to be pretty hard there
