Young Woman Hangs Herself After Machete Duel
21 year old Haitian girl was discovered about an hour after hanging herself from a tree. The alleged cause of her decision was due to a love triangle and the razor-sharp complications entailed therein. It would appear that she had been stepping out with another man behind her boyfriend's back for the last several weeks. When the boyfriend discovered her infidelity, he brandished his trusty machete and challenged the back door man to a duel of some kind. Neither of them died, but the suitor took a machete blow to the head and the boyfriend got hauled off to jail for the attempted murder. Inscrutable to me why this prompted her to go into the woods behind her house and hang herself.  In any event, the coroner confirmed that the cause of death was asphyxiation due to hanging strangulation, though that is probably obvious from the photos.
