Not sure, actually. Second time I've seen that from Mexico, though. I posted a strangled girl a while back, she'd been dead only a day or so and her entire body looked normal and intact (if a bit dead), but her fucking face was as green as the Incredible goddam Hulk. Very much like this chick.

I'm sure one of the more scientifically inclined on the forums can answer the question, but I cannot save to say that it is rare, but not unique.

Faces are always the first to decompose for a few reasons, but mostly its due to the ease of access foreign bacteria and insects have through the mouth, nose, eyes and ears of an unattended corpse, and the tendency for purge fluid to gush from those same orifices, spreading digestive enzymes in its wake
