Young Woman Found With Bullet in the Head
18 year old girl was found yesterday morning with a single GSW to the head. Several articles of her clothing were lying nearby. She was estimated to have been killed between 24 and 36 hours prior to being found, but no suspects have been listed thus far.

The bra was most likely put on by the police to cover her up, you can tell she was on her stomach and then rolled over for the photos, it's not even dirty or creased, the same case with the pants probably, so I assume she was raped, poor thing.  |

Respectfully disagree. Mexican police never reclothe victims. Certainly not in any of the thousands of photos I have researched over the past five years. If they cover them up at all, it is with a cloth or towel that they themselves provide. Certainly never the victim's own clothing, which may contain important evidence. Seems odd that the bra has no grass or dirt on it, but it would be odder still for the policia to put it back on her just for the photos. I do agree that she had been rolled over since being found. The positioning of her hands, tight with obvious rigor, would indicate that she originally fell with her hands outward and lay with palms relatively flat on the ground until after rigor set in. Mexican newspapers are generally pretty explicit about the nature of the crimes and extent of wounds. None of the six papers who reported on this event made any mention of sexual assault. And that sort of detail is generally way too juicy for the Nota Rojas writers to willfully omit. The articles all made specific mention of the clothes she was wearing as well as the clothes laid out beside her, so I doubt rape was involved here. I could be wrong, of course, and have been before. But if they had reason to suspect rape, it would most likely have been mentioned and it was not. |

Actually, after a second look, there is a very white outline around the bra, so maybe she did die with it on after all, just strange to see it so clean after over a day of her lying on it triggering my not so sleuth skills, hmphh.
