Several years ago I watched a young woman die almost immediately after she rolled her car into a ditch. She was pinned in the floorboard with her bottom sticking up in the air and the dress she was wearing was no longer covering her privates. She urinated and defecated all over herself as she died. I can assure you there wasn't anything sexually stimulating about it.

Came across an additional image of this case while doing some area-based searches earlier today. Once in a blue moon, you can pick up some new images for an older case without even meaning to.

Not a major improvement over anything already posted, but this one does show a fairly decent uncensored profile angle of the young woman's face after she was suffocated to death. Added it to the original post.

To be honest, I can't really tell.

It could be aspirated foam or vomit, I suppose. It looks too big to be her tongue, though the placement is correct. I'm not sure if the tongue protrudes like that in bagging suffocations, though.

My money would be on a gag in her mouth. Looks like a balled up sock or a piece of cotton or something to me. But a rock on the side of the road is also plausible, though whatever it is it definitely appears that it is stuck in or coming out of her mouth.

Oddly enough, I subscribed to a newspaper in Guatemala this week to try to run down photos for another story (no luck there) and in the process happened to turn up a new-to-me photo from this crime back in 2019. Also managed to snag a previously censored image, now uncensored.

I don't imagine anyone gives even half a fuck unless they're afflicted with OCD on the same level as me. But just in case, I am bumping this post with some new stuff.

I think this is the fourth time since I originally posted this case five years ago that I have stumbled across new information or photos.

Tonight's bizarre, belated update isn't a major one and it's fairly out of the blue. But it checked off a box that has sort of been back-burner vexing me every time I glanced over this case in my archives of crime research I actually invested a lot of time into.

Oddly enough, five years later, one of the decedent's close friends accepted a social media friend request that I submitted on a lark back in 2020. I will do that often if I am working on a case, as non-family friends of the deceased will often have unique information and sometimes photos. Usually they deny and block me or else accept within a day. For some reason, this one took five years.

But when they did, it opened up a wide avenue of access to antemortem photos from the dead girl's life.

Now, I tend to dislike the posters who turn crime scene threads into IG billboards, slapping up dozens and dozens of images of a dead person when they were alive. I like to provide a couple for contrast/context and then focus on the crime.

This was a bit different because for the last five years, I was never 100% sure that the antemortem photos I got from the reporter were actually the dead girl. He said he believed they were, but could not verify it formally. I also mostly believed they were, but even with a lot of study and comparison in photo editing software, I could still never find concrete evidence matching the antemortem images with the postmortem ones. Not clothing, not jewelry, not facial features. 90% sure was good enough to post, but it always left me wondering if I'd inadvertently posted the wrong girl's images.

Until now. The friend whose private page I now have access to had several images on their wall that the decedent, Daniella, had posted in the week prior leading right up until (the first two pics) about 8 hours before she was found suffocated to death on the side of the road.

Anyone can plainly see that she is wearing the same shirt, the same sweater, and the same shoes. The shoes initially looked bright white in the postmortem images, but a closer look now shows that they are actually the green ones here, but with the light reflecting such that they appear white, aside from green parts visible in the shadows. The same black and pink bracelets on her left wrist that can be seen pressed into her skin due to the painful tightness of the rope she was bound with. The pants look somewhat different, but that could be lighting or she could have changed jeans before going out to meet the person who proved to be a decoy leading to her kidnapping and execution with a plastic bag. They have the same high waist, but we only have rear views of the corpse, so it isn't possible to make an exact comparison.

Anyway, I suspect this will be my last update to this tragic case that has haunted me for half a decade. My reporter contact has retired, my police contact hasn't replied in years, no new information is likely to be published in the news, her ex-boyfriend is married to someone else with two kids now, and I suspect no one in her locale invested half as much work into trying to figure out the circumstances of her murder as I did, LOL. And I am done.

RIP Daniella and my apologies that they're never gonna catch whoever shuffled off your mortal coil. I gave it my best effort.

I've been KOd a couple of times and hearing is the first sense that comes back to me, I can usually hear for a couple of seconds before my eyes open. At first the words sound like alien language, then they take on meaning, then my eyes open.

So I can imagine it is the last sense to shut down, as it seems to work even when the brain isn't functioning normally.
