Re: Young Female Student on Scooter Dead in Traffic Accident
and the other driver shouldn't have hit her and became a criminal. i'm not being heartless and all here but she's just one. there's more out there and they might be viewing us here. Therefore, actual law and order should be stated so they will learn. its as simple as this. a person will not hit anything in the road if there's nothing there to hit that should not be in the road. if a person have no "rightful" (as in legal) business being in the road, then they should not be in the road. I drive a motorcycle and i can say im pretty good at it but i never drive if i dont have my license with me. or my helmet. or my safety gears.

Re: Young Female Student on Scooter Dead in Traffic Accident
I am not in the mood to give you a ton of crap for your opinion. Just a few quick thoughts: 1. How would you feel if your (lets say) father was driving to work and some 14-year old kid without a driving licence (or experience whatsoever) got mangled under his car? Would you go "Ow, dad, the poor thing, you killed it and it was so cute and you took its life away in a moment of weakness..."? 2. Would you allow your 14-yo kid drive a scooter without a helmet? 3. Would you buy your 14-yo kid a scooter? 4. Would you be willing to take full blame if this happened to you, just because it's a child? 5. Do you know for sure she didn't risk the lives of other drivers or pedestrians? I may seem like a cold-hearted bastard, but facts are: -She was driving without any safety equipment. -None of us know what circumstances she died under, there's no info. All we see in the pictures is a trashed scooter and her dead body. Extra info could be added tomorrow, stating that she attempted an illegal U-turn on a highway, or tailgating a car, or something stupid like that. -Carelessness kills. Nikki Katsouras also got careless and died. A lot of people get careless on the road and pay with their lives. -We can't throw the "Awww, come on, it's a child" phrase and feel like its a good argument. You don't know for a fact how cocky she was on the road, neither do I. I don't believe she deserved it and I didn't say she is guilty of anything, or her death is justified. I just don't have any sympathy for people who use machines without adequate protection, kids or not. That's all sir, have a nice day. |
