Damn, yet another story I was going to post about then found it was already on here! Well most of the photos I found are on here already so that only leaves 4 left. 1 of people gawping at the edge of the river, the other 3 of Maria's family, friends + neighbours. The information I found on this is as follows: In Caruaru, on 21st June 2013, the body of a woman was discovered. She was identified 4 days later as 23 year old Maria Janaína da Silva. Maria was a single mother of 5 children. She was last seen on the night of Friday 21st. She had been out dancing with friends, but when they left, Maria stayed on with strangers. It is thought that she was murdered + thrown in the river. She was buried on 26th June.     |
