Very true. I was almost taken out on my bike by a car turning left in front of me. Driver looked right at me and kept pulling out so I jumped off the bike before the impact and went flying over the car and off the side of a 15 ft embankment.  I got lucky I didn't hit anything too hard (besides that ground) while I was flipping and tumbling to a stop and I had on some good gear.

Poignant to me, the way his hand is on her knee when they died. So young- the kid probably won't have any memories of them, just that pic.  |
