Woman Killed in Motorcycle Versus Corolla Collision
36 year old woman died this week after a collision accident with a Toyota Corolla while riding her motorcycle. The driver of the Corolla was on a suspended license, with his own license due to be reinstated on the 13th of this month. He was tested for alcohol and was found to be completely sober. The cause of the accident was not disclosed. The woman was not killed instantly. According to the reports, she had an open fracture on her head and agonized for several minutes before passing out. She was pronounced dead at the scene when the ambulance arrived a bit later. |

I'm curious what happened. If you look at the car, it appears the bike hit the car right at the R/H front wheel, which would indicate that SHE actually ran into the car, rather than the car running into her. Is there a video of the accident? Maybe the car pulled out in front of her?

Not that I could find. Only video I located was the one after she was, by the looks of it, already dead. All of the articles specifically stated that there was no description of the accident itself.  |

One usually doesn't receive an open fracture on their head when wearing a helmet, and the mishap vehicles themselves do not appear to have damage consistent with a sharp edge that could have caused such a wound. I cannot tell from the photos/video if her helmet was compromised or if it was of open-face or full-face design. Perhaps the head wound was miscategorized and was an actual fatal wound to the face, or perhaps it was a neck fracture... ...or maybe the translation was flawed. I've read worse.  |
