I can guarantee you it wasn't a painful death. I overdosed once and had no earthly idea what was going on until I woke up and my friend had done CPR on me. She totally fell asleep and just stopped breathing.

This could have been me. As of July 25th 2021 I will be clean 10 years. I never ever pictured myself saying that. I've overdosed three times in my addiction years and I have no idea how I'm still here. But I will say that if anyone needs my help or just need a friend to talk to and you are struggling with opioid addiction, I'm here for you just HMU ![]() |

Doubtful that it was a painful end. Usually heroin ODs fall asleep and, because opioids are respiratory depressants, just stop breathing. I don’t think believe she suffered at all. Looks to me like she passed out, slumped over, and just never woke up.

~ Opioids/Heroin cause the electron-transport system (Krebs/Citric acid cycle) to slow down. ~ Every electron passage is a thought being processed. ~ An opioid overdose slows it down to the point of stopping & thus causing the nervous system to shut down. ~ The best way to prevent an overdose is to give the afflicted some lemon juice, which will reactivate the electron-transport system, if given in due time. |

I take Naltrexone for non-addicion reasons (I have repetitive, intrusive thoughts about harming myself) and I have experienced some judgement from healthcare providers who assume I'm in recovery. |

I have asked a few ppl I've administered it too what its like to "come back". They say it's shitty and surreal. And yes that high that almost killed them was probably the best one. But as if it's a dream state. From being unconscious. |

That is why I'm not even interested in the drug... I liked alcohol so I'm sure that I'd like me some heroine... until I'm dead ![]() |
