it is sad to see the hold drugs can have on people and the end they come too.
would the person overdosing be aware something is wrong? or is it usually like falling into a deep sleep and not waking up?

It's not necessarily a quick death but i believe it's mostly painless. I've administered Naloxone to a handful of subjects in my line of work. They have all told me they just remember their eyelids getting heavy as they start to numb. That's it. I can tell you that they almost always nod out. And fall wherever they are. For the ones that OD, it's almost like falling asleep and you simply stop breathing.

Not that I know of. I couldn’t find anything, but there are many similar posts. If it was a long time ago then who cares?

One less useless loser on the planet. More people need to follow her footsteps.

i really hate when a wonderfull detailed post like this appears and someone trolls...ffs.great post OP.and i absolutly agree:

Help a Person Who May be Struggling with Addiction
  • If you or someone close to you needs help for a substance use disorder, talk to your doctor or call SAMHSA’s National Helpline at 1-800-662-HELP or go to SAMHSA’s Behavioral Health Treatment Services Locator.
  • Learn about naloxone, a life-saving drug that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose when administered in time.
  • Good Samaritan Laws in your state protect overdose victims and people seeking medical help for an overdose victim from drug possession charges.

Couldn't agree more! I'm an ex crack and heroin addict, it's been just over a year and coming up to a year at the end of this month from a buprenorphine script, after 8 years of battling with it. I lost everything my home an my children and it's hard to put into words what it's like. It is literally your own personal hell on earth. An unless you have gone through addiction, you can't and shouldn't judge.
You shouldn't judge anyone unless you have been there and done it

Nope, she died with no pain at all as heroin is a pain killer, it's also a person killer too, and it makes you nod out and be drowsy and just go where gravity allows.

As soon as she put that gunk in her veins, she was done. Lights out.

Occasionally I feel like I miss it too but not the dodgy bastards you end up being around, the things it makes you do because you need it, the pain it brings to your family from how you treat them and how horrendous withdrawing from it is. Another is your friends and partners dying around you from overdoses, or any health related problems.
