In our state seat belt laws and motorcycle helmet laws are really enforced, I have a few friends from out of state who complain about how strict they are here, but this thread just proves how important they can be.

Driver's Ed courses should really consider bringing back the roadkill films of decades past... I do think that if more people simply HAD to come face to face with the potential severity and finality that can result from a simple and plainly avoidable lapse in common sense, they'd be more conscious of their influence on their own fates, and others' as well.  |
