They really do. In India it's complete madness on the streets, and if you're in the city, forget about it. You're not getting anywhere in any predictable time period. It doesn't help that the population is massive.

In 2003 I was in Moscow for one week and the trafic there is similar chaotic - there are practically no trafic rules others than: "first come, first served". But anyhow they manage it.

Yeah, and I mean I never seemed to notice people having much trouble navigating roundabouts in London, but India there weren't traffic signals OR roundabouts half the time. And yeah, there are bikes, little cars, huge buses and trucks, fucking cows... everybody comes to a halt for a cow, it's no joke. I mean, I understand it's a religious thing, and I would stop for a cow too, but the fact that they are just kind of casually being led around some streets is absurd to me. Then again, we might not have so much material here if all countries had well-designed roads :/ hehe |
