Re: Waitress Hangs Herself At Cafe

There's an old adage among the mental health/emergency and crisis personnel community that has always stuck with me...."Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem!" Contrary to the explicit physical evidence, most people who commit suicide are not seeking death itself, but rather an end of their suffering! Therefore, having the wisdom of their true intent, reveals that suicide is rather an issue of perception, than morbidity! In other words, they wrongfully cogitate that there will be no end to their pain! Ironically, their solitary journey into darkness is found in the very act of escaping their passion! We must pass through our agonies, to "see" the meaning and purpose(s) of our lives on the other side of it! If not, the pain blocks out the future, and by running and/or turning away from it, we'll only perceive darkness!
....and gloom!

That's HEAVY man, just HEAVY. You're like a modern day Edgar Allen Poe.

Re: Waitress Hangs Herself At Cafe

wtf do they really say right in the news that she piss and shit in her pants when she hanged??? thats crazy
It was in the police report. Some news agencies in Indonesia edit the police reports down to bare bones, whereas some others just include them verbatim in the posts/articles, with all of the sordid details.

The same details are included in the police/postmortem/DSI reports in most other countries too, but they are very rarely published. Occasionally news agencies in the US will post the complete autopsy reports, which are public record in about 25% of the states, for particularly well-known or interesting cases on their webpages. For example, when Amber Hilberling (husband-killer that Dr Phil did some specials on) hanged herself in her prison cell in the US, several newspapers in Oklahoma published her autopsy report online, including the fact that she loaded her drawers.

It's just a normal part of the reports because it is a normal part of hanging yourself.

Both the waitress and the security guard went outside to use the bathroom. Don't they have indoor plumbing over there?

Adage or facile slogan? Perhaps it is applicable to the case on this thread, but every situation is unique. For some people life has become an arena of permanent pain, and so suicide is the permanent solution to a permanent problem. Do you criticize the incurably ill with cancer or some other such disease when they decline to suffer an additional six months to a year or more with ultimately futile treatments, and put an end to it? Many other cases fall somewhere in between that situation and the girl on this thread. Who gets to decide if suicide is right or wrong, if not the person who carries it out? There is no rational criticism of their decision for suicide on secular grounds. Granted, the situation is different for those who sincerely hold religious views according to which suicide is a sin punished by God in eternity. They have a different calculus to deal with. Most folks on DR are not in that camp.
