This is not a new set. I posted few of these images some time ago in the Hanging thread, but as is often the case, over time I also managed to accumulate more through various means. Rather than add them in dribs and drabs to the Hanging thread, I feel the set has enough images now to justify its own post. While I was organizing some archived files tonight I came across this batch and realized I'd forgotten to upload the additions back in the day. Images will be new to some and half new to others.

This 26 year old woman, an award winning veterinarian in Mexico (she graduated with highest honors from her agricultural university) checked into a hotel room at an out of town location. According to her family, she was meeting her boyfriend there for a small vacation. According to her cell phone records, she called him several times with no answer before they finally had a short conversation.

Apparently he'd chosen to end the relationship and left her 'stood up' in the hotel room where she was waiting. She was discovered the following morning by the housekeeping staff for the hotel, having hanged herself from the television set with a rather intricately tied noose. Despite using the chair, the tv was not high enough to give her much drop at all, so she asphyxiated in a partial-suspension hanging. Mercifully, she was probably unconscious within 30 seconds, though using a heavy-gauge rope instead of something padded like a scarf or towel likely meant that the pain was agonizing before she passed out.

It's always sad to see any women commit suicide over a man, but for some reason much more so seeing especially smart and accomplished women doing it.

That said, where in the hell did she get such a perfect hanging rope at a hotel where she was meeting her man friend!? LMAO It was even the perfect length!

The article didn't say. I'd assume that she went out to a Walmart or whatever and bought it. In most of the towns I've lived in or driven through, the Walmart is very near to the highway hotel district, so it was very probably a short jaunt.

Of course, she could have been planning it all along and brought it with her. I'd have to assume that she was already clinically depressed and/or somewhat suicidal to even go through with it on such short notice. But I'm no shrink; only speculating.

Just re-read the original article while typing this. It said hotel staff reported that she was in the room several hours, left briefly, and then returned and was found dead the next morning. So yeah, I would guess she went out to buy the rope. There was a note written to the boyfriend during the night, as well, but the newspaper did not disclose what it said.

Regardless, I would assume that the man was just the catalyst in a mind already plagued by depression and anxiety. I feel like she certainly had practiced those knots before. Plus, the perfect length, etc...it seems like a well-researched hanging, all things considered.

What makes me the most sad/angry about all of this is that she probably brought so much health and happiness to so many animals. As my puppy lies in bed next to me!

I wonder why she would bother using a rope. Vets have access to barbiturates, opioids, etc all lethal by themselves and more so when combined
