Re: The Vegetables Didn't Do It
Yes, these are coconuts, but they are immature/unripe ones. When ripe, they are totally brown, and dry-looking. The husk is very fibrous and underneath all the husk, is the hard ball that you crack open to get the yummy white fruit. I grew up in Florida, and as a kid, I used to throw a coconut up at the clusters to make more fall down. Then, I'd use a pickaxe to split the husks and peel them off. Then a screwdriver through the end "eye" to pour the milk out. It was VERY hard to do, but then again, I was a weird little kid growing up on the banks of a canal in Miami. Ok, lol..... This guy was in the wrong place at the wrong time....looks like a whole cluster broke off the palm tree and came down on him.....damn...just ONE green coconut weighs about 5 lbs. |

Re: The Vegetables Didn't Do It
Yeahhh...that's probably right...he was prolly up in the coconut tree trying to get some, when the cluster bent over & broke off, sending him tumbling into hotwires. Or, another stupid person trying to steel copper via climbing a palm tree adjacent to the power line. Yup, I think you're right! |
